The cams are running slow. How can I fix it?

The following factors can contribute to this issue:

Your Internet connection: This website is best experienced by users with a high-speed connection (DSL, Cable, Broadband, etc.). You can check the speed of your connection to CAM4 by visiting https://speedtest.xcdnpro.com/.

The connection speed of the performer: If the performer has a slow Internet connection or there is some network congestion between the performer and our servers, then the video and audio signal that we relay may be of a reduced quality. 

Your computer: If you are looking at many cams, running many programs, and/or your hard disk has lots of activity, you could be running out of memory and swapping your memory to the hard disk. We suggest you watch only one webcam at a time and shut down other programs you are not using to save memory. If you add more memory to your computer, it could speed up dramatically.

The performer's computer: The model's computer, webcam, and microphone quality affect the video and audio feed quality.

Our computers: Sometimes, we have issues with our servers. Usually, this is fixed within the hour.

The network: If there are internet issues with your provider or our providers, it will impact the speed of all the cams. If other websites that you go to are slow, then it is probably your internet provider that is running slow. If only cam4 is slow, then our network will probably have issues.
